Education and Training
Training of Ph.D. students has high priority in DARC. We have close collaboration with the national graduate school, The Danish Cardiovascular Research Academy (DaCRA). Several of the senior members in DARC have central positions (e.g. Board members) in the graduate school. The close association between the DARC and DaCRA will secure the quality of the pre- and postgraduate research education.
The activities include a comprehensive program of annual PhD-courses at high international level, international symposia, visits from international guest professors and a 3-days Summer School for all members at The Sandbjerg Manor.
Further, we encourage and support Ph.D. students to work in high-profile laboratories abroad during the course of their Ph.D. education. Typically, Ph.D. students are staying 4-6 months in laboratories outside Denmark to receive special training. To warrant continuous professional development, we also support Postdocs to visit other labs to learn new techniques and to enforce international collaborations.
